Keokuk Man Arrested In Burglary Case

A Keokuk, IA man is in custody and additional arrests are pending after the Scotland County Sheriff’s Department recovered private property stolen from a rural Scotland County home back on February 2nd.

Charles Stewart, 19, was arrested Sunday, March 6th and faces a number of charges stemming from the break-in at the Tom Shannan residence. The sheriff’s department recovered a large safe that was taken in the burglary. Sheriff Wayne Winn indicated that a portion of the safe’s contents was also recovered.
