Middleton Records Second Hole-In-One In Less Than a Week
For the second time in less than a week a local golfer has recorded a hole-in-one at Timber Ridge Golf Course.
Donnie Middleton’s friends may start calling him “Ace”. He scored an ace on hole #3 on September 24th. The shot earned him an all-expenses-paid trip to Florida courtesy of his Hole-In-One Travel Card.
Unfortunately for the Memphis golfer, a second hole-in-one does not earn him a second trip. Middleton recorded the second ace of his career on September 30th. This time Middleton was on the 170-yard hole #8 at Timber Ridge golf course when his tee shot found the cup. The ace was witnessed by Frank Parsons.
“This shot was a little different,” Middleton stated. “I hit the shot and the ball rolled up to the green and in the hole.”
Middleton’s first hole-in-one landed just shy of the cup on hole #3 and rolled in.
The golfer joked that he is getting better at handling the emotions that come with a hole-in-one. This round he carded a five-over-par 39.
