Campus Bowl Teams Split Matches At Clark County
A scoreless second period was too much for the Scotland County campus bowl team to overcome as the Tigers fell to Clark County 230-60 in a non-conference match March 29 in Kahoka.
The Tigers stayed within striking distance early in the match before a 60-0 run helped the Indians put the game away in the second frame.
Jon Keller led the scoring with three correct toss-up answers. Jason Findling finished with 20 points and Jessica Erwin added 10 points.
Scotland County prevailed in the junior high match 275-100 behind a balanced scoring attack.
The two teams played to a 40-40 tie in the first period before SCR-I pulled away in the bonus round with a 105-40 run.
Julie Triplett topped the score book with 70 points. Lance Smith and Loren Billington each answered five toss-up questions. Jeff Kice and Nathan Purvis each chipped in 10 points.
