Second Half Surge Leads Campus Bowl Team Past Conference Rival
After playing to a 40-40 tie in the first half, the Scotland County varsity campus bowl team used a second half surge to defeat Tri-Rivers Conference rival Clark County in a March 15 contest.
The Tigers pulled ahead 100-60 in the third quarter before nailing 40 of the games final 45 points to secure the win.
Jason Findling accounted for all 40 first half points and answered six toss-up questions to lead the team in scoring. Michelle Lodewegen came off the bench to score 30 points in the second half to fuel the rally.
The junior high contest was all Scotland County as the Tigers prevailed 450-165.
Julie Triplett and Lance Smith each answered 8 toss-up questions in the victory.
