MYRVEN EDGAR CLARK

Myrven Edgar Clark, 91, passed away at his home in Downing, MO, September 25, 2004.
The son of Perry B. and Sylvia Mae (Bennett) Clark, Edgar was born on December 9, 1912 in Yetter, IA, of Calhoun County.
On June 18, 1935, in Lake City, IA, he was united in marriage to Velma Mae Johnson and to this union three children were born, Robert Edgar, William David and Janet Kay Tucker.
Survivors include his wife, Velma of 69 years; his children, Robert Edgar Clark and wife, Mary of Olympia, WA, William David Clark and his wife, Jane of Keokuk, IA, and Janet Kay (Clark) Tucker and husband, Loren of St. Peters, MO; seven grandchildren, Timothy David Clark, Todd William Clark, Brian Douglas Clark, Brett William Clark and wife, Stacy, Eric Henry Tucker and wife, Kelly, Stacie Michelle Tucker and Heather Lynne Tucker; five great-grandchildren, Terran Clark, Cullen Clark, Annalisee Clark, Ashley Clark, and Amber Clark.
Edgar was preceded in death by his parents and one brother, Lyle Clark.
Edgar was a member of the Assembly of God Church in Lake City, IA. He was a grain and livestock farmer and for nine years had worked with H.C. Price Pipeline Construction.
Edgar will be missed by all those who knew him as he enjoyed visiting with all his friends and neighbors. He treasured the love of his children, grandchildren and great-grandchildren and they will remember the fond memories of their father and grandfather.
Graveside services were held September 29, 2004 at 10:30 a.m. at the Downing City Cemetery in Downing, MO, with David Barton, pastor of the Downing Baptist Church officiating. Pallbearers were Tim Clark, Todd Clark, Eric Tucker, Ronnie Martin, Irvin Bennett and Andy Fountain. Memorials have been established for the American Heart Fund, Downing Depot Museum or the Downing Baptist Church. Burial was in the Downing City Cemetery, Downing, MO. Funeral arrangements were under the direction of the Norman Funeral Home of Downing, MO.
