Hazel Lucille Tucker, 82, a life-long resident of Memphis, MO, died September 6, 2004, in the Scotland County Care Center, Memphis, MO.

She was born April 23, 1922, in Memphis, MO, the youngest daughter of William Owen and Stella Rounsavell Tucker.

She was a homemaker and cared for her mother. Lucille had worked for an insurance and real estate company. She was also a waitress at the Wilson Diner, a rebuilt streetcar off of the northwest corner of the Memphis square. Lucille was a member of the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter Day Saints.

She was preceded in death by her parents; one sister, Madeline Tucker and half-sister, Norma Tucker. There are no immediate survivors.

Visitation will open at 1:00 p.m. Wednesday, September 8, 2004, in the Memphis Funeral Home, Memphis, MO, and continue until the funeral service held at 5:30 p.m. conducted by Bishop Lee Vorkink of Kirksville, MO. Burial will follow in the Memphis Cemetery. Dr. R.W. Keller will deliver the eulogy and David Stubbs will be a speaker. Music will be directed by Blanche Keller and Janet Coggins will accompany the congregation. Casket bearers will be Bishop Lee Vorkink, Dr. R.W. Keller, Tom Priebe, Jerald Snyder, Jim Ward, and Ted Gundy. Memphis Funeral Home of Memphis, MO is in charge of arrangements.
