Edna Irene Wolfe Cochran, 79, of Memphis, MO, died July 14, 2004, at the Scotland County Care Center, Memphis, MO.
Born January 6, 1925, at Mount Sterling, IA, she was the daughter of William ďWillieĒ Calvin Wolfe and Willie Marie Wolf Wolfe.
She married John Virgil Cochran, December 22, 1941, at Memphis, MO. He preceded her in death on October 15, 1987.
Edna lived most of her life around the Mount Sterling, IA area. She moved to Memphis, MO in 1988 to be near her children. She had lived in the Scotland County Care Center since February 18, 2003.
She was a loving mother, grandmother and great-grandmother. She was affectionately known as ďMomĒ, ďGrandmaĒ or ďAunt EdnaĒ by all who knew her.
Surviving are five sons, Lonnie and Michaelene Cochran, David and Linda Cochran, and Emmett and Mary Cochran, all of Memphis, MO, Jimmy and Marty Cochran of Hutchinson, KS, and Michael and Joy Cochran of Rutledge, MO; one daughter, Beth Cochran of San Francisco, CA; grandchildren, Dana Cochran Robbins and Howard Garrison, Danny Cochran, Darrin Cochran, Colt and Kelly Cochran, Curtis Cochran and Angie Trueblood, Sarah and Adam Krouse, Ryan Cochran, Zachary Cochran, Brittany Cochran, Jacob Cochran, Cindy Meade and Terry Muntz, Melissa and Kevin Ferrel, and Amanda Jennings; great-grandchildren, Marti Robbins, Matthew Robbins, Morgan Robbins, Becca Cheney, Austin Cochran, Natalie Krouse, Lydia Krouse, Karma Terlick, Jamie Meade, Schuyler Sedore, Madison Ferrel, Macy Ferrel, Nikki Kerkmann and Ryan Jennings; two sisters-in-law, Sylvia Cochran and Dorothy and Tom McDavid; a brother-in-law, Robert Cochran; and numerous nieces, nephews, cousins and friends.
Edna was preceded in death by her husband; a son, Roger William Cochran; a daughter, Sandra Kay Cochran; her parents; a brother, Verle Wolfe; and a sister, Jean Creek.
Services were held July 16, 2004, at Pedrick Funeral Chapel in Keosauqua, IA with the Reverend Charles Hammack officiating. Burial was in Harness Cemetery, Mount Sterling, IA. Memorials may be made to Sterling Visions or the donorís choice. Pallbearers were Lonnie Cochran, David Cochran, Jimmy Cochran, Michael Cochran, Danny Cochran, and Darrin Cochran. Honorary pallbearers were Emmett Cochran, Colt Cochran, Curtis Cochran, Ryan Cochran, Zachary Cochran, Jacob Cochran, Howard Garrison, Adam Krouse, Terry Muntz, and Kevin Ferrel.
