ERIC ANDREW MYERS
(3/31/1975 Ė 6/5/2004)
Eric Andrew Myers, 29, of Columbia, MO, passed away on June 5, 2004, at the University of Columbia Medical Centers in Columbia, MO.
He was born in Memphis, MO, on March 31, 1975, the son of Roy Thomas Myers III and Kathy Jo Philhaber Myers.
On December 4, 1999, he was united in marriage to Christina Stewart and to this union two children were born, Lexie Eve Myers born June 11, 2000, and Griffen Jay Myers born January 15, 2002.
Eric had been working with his brother, R.T. Myers as a concrete contractor in Columbia, MO, for the past year, prior to that he had worked different jobs in Hannibal, MO, where he lived with his wife and children. Between the years of 1993 through 1999, Eric had enjoyed working with his father on many building projects in Montana, where he lived for two summers with his parents, Tom and Jean Myers. Eric loved Montana and loved to hike and fish there. He went to church faithfully at the First Baptist Church of Bigfork, MT, while living there, and made many friends everywhere he went. He also spent two years of his life on the mission field helping his father build two new church buildings. One was in Knob Noster, MO, and one in Richmond, MO. While in Richmond, Eric attended Calvary Baptist church faithfully and served his Lord by working with the Awana Program there. Eric loved children, and enjoyed his time with the many friends he made there. Eric had a heart of gold, and would gladly lend a helping hand to a stranger if he saw a need.
Eric was a loving, devoted father to his two children, Lexie and Griffen. The times spent with his family were the most important times of his life. He loved the big family get-togethers! He once said, ďI have always wanted a family to love and cherish forever, and children that I can do fun things withĒ.
Eric will be missed by all of us so very much, but we know that his Heavenly Father and his Savior have called him home. Psalms 116:15 ďPrecious in the sight of the Lord is the death of his saintsĒ.
