THELMA F. NICHOLSON

Thelma F. Nicholson, 83, of Lancaster, MO, passed away May 2, 2004 at the Twin Pines Adult Care Center in Kirksville, MO.
Thelma was born July 11, 1920, in Schuyler County, MO, the daughter of Hugh Edward and Cornelia Belle (Croson) Anderson.
On December 20, 1941, she was united in marriage to Leroy Jefferson (Chub) Nicholson, who preceded her in death on May 19, 1999. To this union three daughters were born, Sharon, Judy, and Donna.
Thelma lived most of her life in the Lancaster area and operated a sewing shop in her home.
Thelma is survived by her three daughters, Sharon McClurg and husband, Johny of Granger, IN, Judy Mulvaney and husband, Gary of Glenwood, MO and Donna Jackson and husband, Neal of Kirksville, MO; nine grandchildren, Troy McClurg, Zachary McClurg, Scott McClurg, Tye McClurg, Audra Kneer, Courtney Byrd, Damon Mulvaney, Brok Jackson, Brodi Jackson; four great-grandchildren, Haley Joiner, Remington Byrd, Jacob Kneer and Camron Kneer; one brother, Eugene Anderson and wife, Thelma of Kirksville, MO; two sisters-in-law, Opal Anderson of Downing, MO and Daisy Manning and husband, Floyd of Lancaster, MO; and many other relatives and friends.
Preceding her in death were her husband; granddaughter, Misti Nicole Jackson; brothers, Donald, Francis, Max R., and Paul Anderson; and one sister, Bessie Carroll.
Funeral services were held May 6, 2004, at the Norman Funeral Home in Lancaster, MO with Sonny Smyser, pastor of the Lancaster United Methodist Church, officiating. Organist, Maureen Watkins and soloist, Schelle Cooley, provided the music. Pallbearers were Troy McClurg, Zachary McClurg, Scott McClurg, Tye McClurg, Brok Jackson, and Damon Mulvaney. Flower bearers were Courtney Byrd, Andra Kneer and Brodi Jackson. Memorials have been established for the Schuyler County Nutrition Site. Interment was in the Arni Memorial Cemetery in Lancaster, MO. Funeral arrangements were under the direction of Norman Funeral Home of Lancaster, MO.
