David J. Allman, 103, of Memphis, MO, formerly of Dolton and South Chicago, IL, died January 21, 2004, at the Scotland County Memorial Hospital in Memphis, MO.

David was born October 26, 1900, in Chicago, IL, the son of Timothy and Mary Ellguth Allman.

David graduated from Bowen High School, Chicago, IL.

He married Albertina Miller, who preceded him in death and later married Velma Adams, who also preceded him in death.

David was member of the motion picture projectionists, audiovisual engineers and computer technicians union. He was a past member of St. Judeís Catholic Church and Knights of Columbus in Dolton, IL and a present member of St. Johnís Catholic Church in Memphis, MO.

Survivors include two sisters, Effie and Lucille; two nephews, Timothy and Theodore; and two nieces, Norine and Susan.

David was preceded in death by his parents; both wives, Albertina Miller Allman and Velma Adams Allman; eight brothers, Timothy, Jack, Norbert, Philip, Joseph, Adam, Frances, Patrick; and three sisters, Helen, Hyacinth and Patricia.

The family has suggested memorials to Alzheimerís Association, Passionist Brothers of Chicago, and the American Cancer Society and may be left at or mailed to the Payne Funeral Chapel, 2002 E. Madison, Memphis, MO 63555.

Funeral Mass was held on January 26, 2004, at the St. Johnís Catholic Church, Memphis, MO, with Father Bill Kottenstette officiating. Pallbearers were family and friends. Interment was in the Memphis Cemetery, Memphis, MO. Arrangements were handled by the Payne Funeral Chapel, Memphis, MO.
