STANLEY LEO KERBY

Stanley Leo Kerby, 55, of Lancaster, MO, passed away at his home January 18, 2004.
The son of Richard Wallace and Nina Maxine (Webster) Kerby, he was born on February 13, 1948, in Kirksville, MO.
Stanley was a graduate of the Lancaster High School with the class of 1966. During his junior year in high school, he was a member of the basketball team and they placed fourth in the State finals.
On January 18, 1969, he was united in marriage to Nancy Beeler and to this union two daughters, April and Ashley were born.
Stanley was preceded in death by his parents, Richard Wallace Kerby, who passed away in May, 1999, and Nina Maxine (Webster) Kerby, who passed away in August, 1997.
Survivors of the Kerby family include his daughter, April Kerby and granddaughter, Shayla ďFredĒ Kerby of Lancaster, MO; daughter, Ashley Kaden and husband, Clayton of Glenwood, MO; one sister, Suzann Yelton and husband, David ďBuckĒ of Kirksville, MO; her two children, Rebecca and Aaron Roberts; one aunt; several cousins and a host of friends.
Stanley worked in construction and heavy equipment operation with his father, Richard, for several years until becoming employed with the Missouri Department of Conservation, where he was employed until the time of his death. Stanley was a member of the Lancaster Methodist Church and was also a member of the Bible Grove Saddle Club. Stanley was an avid horseman who loved the outdoors as well as visiting with his many friends.
Graveside services were held January 20, 2004, at the Arni Memorial Cemetery with Payton M. (Sonny) Smyser, pastor of the Lancaster United Methodist Church, officiating. Pallbearers were Jeb Weaver, Josh Weaver, Larry Weaver, Lyle York, Daryl Fountain, and Larry Webster. Burial was in the Arni Memorial Cemetery in Lancaster, MO. Funeral arrangements were under the direction of the Norman Funeral Home.
