Extension To Host Milk the Goat Contest
It’s fair time and the University of Missouri Extension Council is at it again. This year instead of “Kiss the Pig” they will be hosting a “Milk the Goat” contest.
Six lucky contestants from each branch of Scotland County Emergency Services have volunteered to compete for the dubious honor of milking a goat in front of the grandstand. The two candidates with the most votes will compete against each other on Wednesday night at 8:00 p.m. at the Scotland County Fair. To vote for the person you would most enjoy seeing milk the goat, visit any one of these locations: US Bank, Bank of Kirksville, Community Bank of Memphis, Memphis Democrat, Casey’s, and the Extension office.
Each vote is 25c and you can vote as many times as you want. The cans will be picked up Tuesday morning, July 6th. The contestants are Twila Hogarth, EMT; Chris Feeney, Fire Department; Bill Holland, Sheriff’s Department; Michelle Miller, Police Department; Clinton Duppong, Highway Patrol; and Teresa Lee, Emergency Room Physician Assistant. Proceeds from the contest will be used in the county for future programs.
