Foreman Records Hole-In-One At Senior's Tourney
It took a two-hole playoff to settle the annual Seniors Golf Tournament held at Timber Ridge Golf Course in Memphis June 18.
After two teams tied for the lead in the championship flight a playoff was held. The team of Bolick and Luther won the tie-breaker on the second hole. The team of Miller and Schoonover had to settle for second place. Both teams finished the 18-hole event with scores of 66.
The team of Long and Hall took third place in the championship flight.
In the A Flight it was Mattingly and Mattingly finishing in a tie with the team of Ferrel and Wilson. Both teams shot rounds of 72.
There was also a tie for third place with Jones and Foreman shooting a 73 along with the team of Harris and James.
Rich Scott was the prize winner on hole number two with the longest drive of the day.
The best shot of the day went to H. Foreman. Not only did he win the prize for the closest shot to the pin on hole number three, he recorded a hole in one with the shot.
The good golf continued on the fourth hole where Joe Muir was the prize winner. Again there was no need for a tape measure as Muir holed out his second shot for an eagle, leaving no doubt he had the second shot that was closest to the pin.
Darrell Simmons rounded out the prize list cashing in on hole number five by sinking the longest putt of the tournament.
