Fromm Named To All-State Hoops Team For Second Time
After turning in the first all-state basketball performance in recent Scotland County R-I girls basketball history in 2001-02, Meagan Fromm had the Lady Tigers fans looking for more this year. She did not disappoint, providing the encore performance while also helping to lead her team to the school's first ever district championship.
Fromm closed out the encore performance by once again being named to the Missouri All-State Basketball Team. Fromm earned second team honors in the girls class 2 after averaging 15.7 points per game and 8.7 rebounds a night, both team highs. The 5'11" senior also got the job done on defense averaging more than three blocked shots per game.
Unfortunately for local basketball fans there is no chance of a three-peat as Fromm will be taking her special basketball skills on to the collegiate level at Central Missouri State University in Warrensburg next year.
Fromm was among a number a area players to earn all-state honors further indicating the high-level of hoops play that can be found in northeast Missouri. See the complete list of all-state performers from Class 1, 2 and 3 below.
