SHIRLEY ANN FOGLE

Shirley Ann Fogle, 68, of Memphis, MO, died September 15, 2003, at the Davis County Hospital in Bloomfield, IA.
She was born November 18, 1934, in Ottumwa, IA, to Marvin Andrew and Vera Evelyn Schertz McGhee.
She married Vaughn Fogle at the First Baptist Church in Ottumwa, IA on December 10, 1955.
She was a graduate of Ottumwa High School Class of 1952 and St. Joseph School of Nursing in 1955. She began her nursing career at St. Joseph Hospital in Pediatrics, then Scotland County Memorial Hospital in Memphis, MO, as a charge nurse, then later becoming Director of Nursing. She also had worked at St. Lukes Hospital in Kansas City, MO and Two Rivers Psychiatric Hospital retiring in 1994.She was a member of the American Nurses Association and First Christian Church in Memphis, MO.
She is survived by her husband and two daughters, Lesa and her husband, Hal Frymoyer and Valerie and her husband, Jeff Gray, both of Bloomfield, IA; four grandchildren, Steven Frymoyer and his wife, Heather, Alisha, and Jared Frymoyer and Jessica Bair, and two great-grandchildren, Madison and Paige Frymoyer. Also surviving are four sisters, Cleo Giltner of Batavia, IA, Kay Irwin of Agency, IA, Nancy Rifenberry and Reva Gilliland of Ottumwa, IA; and special friend, Millie Elliott.
She was preceded in death by her parents and two brothers, Wayne and Harold McGhee.
Funeral services were held September 18, 2003, at the Memphis Funeral Home, Memphis, MO with Chaplain Norm Snowbarger officiating. Angela Westhoff was the pianist. Burial was in the Pleasant Hill Cemetery. Casket bearers were Don Tharp, Brian Thompson, Russ Bombie, Mike Giltner, Rod Irwin and Johnny Rifenberry. Honorary casket bearers were Bob Rifenberry, Mark McGhee, Randy Irwin and Kevin McGhee. Memorials may be made to Hospice 2000 and may be left at or mailed to the funeral home. Memphis Funeral Home of Memphis, MO was in charge of arrangements.
