DONNA M. TREECE

Donna M. Treece, 63, of Kahoka, MO, died July 3, 2003, at the Clark County Nursing Home in Kahoka, MO, where she had been a patient since June 26, 2003.
She was born July 22, 1939, at her parents' home in Kahoka, MO, a daughter of Floyd H. and Flossie Mae Mattocks Leach.
She and Donald C. Treece were married November 4, 1966 in Kahoka, MO.
Survivors include her husband of Kahoka, MO; her mother, Flossie Leach of Kahoka, MO; one son, Donn Treece and his wife, Korena of Thornton, CO; two daughters, Delma Smith and her husband, Chris of Kahoka, MO, and Denise Stone and her husband, Jeryl of Memphis, MO; a brother, Delmer Leach and his wife, Gerry of Mesa, AZ; eight grandchildren, Scott and Lauren Yates of Howard Lake, MN, Toni Yates of Memphis, MO, Tabitha Bartels and Justin Bartels, both of Kahoka, MO, Kaitlyn Treece and Donn Treece, Jr., both of Thornton, CO; Jaime Smith of Champaign, IL, and Ashley Smith of Lomax, IL; a great-granddaughter, Kendra Yates of Memphis, MO, as well as other relatives.
She was preceded in death by her father; a sister, Betty Lou Leach; a brother, William Leach; and two daughters, Faith and Charity.
Donna was a 1957 graduate of Kahoka High School and was a faithful member of the First Baptist Church of Kahoka, MO. She was also a member of the American Legion Auxiliary, Kahoka Chapter #40, O.E.S., the Clark County Cancer Board and was a Shrine Lady. She was a volunteer for the Clark County Nursing Home, S.H.A.R.E., the Clark County Food Pantry and former secretary and contact person for the Salvation Army and had held many yard sales to donate money to its' cause.
Donna received great enjoyment from sending cards to her many friends and acquaintances. She loved her flowers and also reading, sewing and traveling. She and Don had spent many hours together on the road visiting family and friends and in his travels through his involvement in the Masons and Shriners. She loved her family and was so proud to be a great-grandma.
Funeral services were held July 7, 2003 at Wilson Funeral Home in Kahoka, MO with the Reverends Rick Seaton, Gary Payne, and Scott Yates officiating. Iris Phillips was the pianist. Special music was provided by recorded selections and also by Evonne Adams. Pallbearers were Butch Neves, George Hudson, Clifford Gares, Forrest Phillips, Buddy Kattlemann, and Gene Phillips. Visitation was held Sunday with a public Order of the Eastern Star service followed by family meeting friends at Wilson Funeral Home, Kahoka, MO. Memorials were suggested to the Shriner's Hospitals. Arrangements were handled by Wilson Funeral Home, Kahoka, MO.
