NORMAN FRANCIS HINES

Norman Francis Hines, 64, of Arbela, MO, died June 8, 2003, at the Scotland County Memorial Hospital in Memphis, MO.
He was born April 22, 1939, in Wyaconda, MO, to Bert and Georgia Fern Hottel Hines.
He attended school in Granger, MO, and was affiliated with the Kahoka Methodist Church. He was a crop farmer and raised livestock and enjoyed restoring old tractors.
He married Mary Ann Davis on August 9, 1958 in Kahoka, MO and to this union were born four children.
He is survived by his wife; two daughters, Brenda Fay Long and her husband, David of Memphis, MO, and Debra Kay Woods and her husband, Kevin of Memphis, MO; a son, Norman Curtis Hines and his wife, Laura of Arbela, MO, and a daughter-in-law, Jill Hines of Downing, MO. Also surviving are 10 grandchildren, Jim Long and his wife, Amanda, Eric and Jeff Long, Chase and Betsy Hines, Bryan Woods and his wife, McKenzie, Sean, Matthew and Faith Ann Woods, and Tyler Hines; three great-grandchildren, Travis William Woods, Mikayla Arthur and Julie Long; and a brother, Lester Lane Hines of Brock, MO.
He was preceded in death by a son, Travis Bert Hines; and two brothers, Cary and Gayle Hines; and his parents.
Funeral services will be held Wednesday, June 11, 2003, at 1:00 p.m. in the Memphis Funeral Home in Memphis, MO with the Reverend Beryl Craig presiding. Organist will be Joan Hinds. Burial will follow in the Kahoka Cemetery, Kahoka, MO. Active casketbearers will be Larry Wiggins, Bryan Woods, Jerry Hocker, Jared Holt, Jack March and Dennis O'Brien. Honorary pallbearers will be grandsons.
Memorials may be made to the St. Jude Children's Hospital and may be left at or mailed to Memphis Funeral Home, 378 South Market Street, Memphis, MO 63555.
