PATRICIA (PATTY)LaVAUGHN YORK BULL

Patricia (Patty) LaVaughn York Bull, 70, oldest child of Vaughn Castle and Marcella (Molly) Kelly York, was born in Cedar County, IA, at the family farm on August 25, 1932. She departed this life on April 26, 2003 at Kirksville Manor Care Center in Kirksville, MO, after a prolonged illness.
Patty attended grade school in Cedar County, IA. The family moved to Memphis, MO, where she attended high school.
Patty was united in marriage to Stanley Dwayne Bull on May 15, 1949 at the Gorin United Methodist Church parsonage. To this union three children were born, daughters; Deborah (Debbie) Diane, Ginger Lee and son, Chedrick Chan Bull.
She was a member of the Brock United Methodist Church.
Patty and her ever-present smile and sincere kindness will be greatly missed by her husband, Stanley; children, Debbie and husband, David Burns of Pulaski, IA, Ginger Lee Bull, Ched Bull and wife, Jeannie, all of Kirksville, MO; grandchildren, Brad Burns and wife, Susan of Bloomfield, IA, Matt Burns and wife, Annette of Sioux Falls, SD, Tammy (Burns) Smoot and husband, Evan of Drakesville, IA, Nathan Plenge of Travis Air Force Base, CA, in active duty of Operation Iraq Freedom, Heather Plenge Watson and husband, Steve of Bloomfield, IA, Afton and Amber Bull of Kirksville, MO; great-grandchildren, Kallie Mae and Chan Burns of Bloomfield, IA, Dylan and Madelyn Burns of Sioux Falls, SD, Hunter and Olivia Smoot of Drakesville, IA; one brother, Jerry Lee York and wife, Brenda of Atlanta, GA, Jerry's children, Brandon York and wife, Kindra of Hannibal, MO and Tee York of Atlanta, GA and several nieces and nephews.
She was preceded in death by her parents, Vaughn and Molly York.
The family has suggested memorials to the Hospice 2000 or The Brock Cemetery Fund and may be left at or mailed to the Payne Funeral Chapel, 202 E. Madison, Memphis, MO 63555.
Funeral services were held May 1, 2003, at the Payne Funeral Chapel, Memphis, MO, with Chaplain Dennis Smith officiating. Music was by soloist Marie Bollman. Pallbearers were Cole Anderson, Roger Riebel, Steve Morris, Gary Shoop, Mike Speer, and Bruce Wheatley. Honorary bearers were Phil Aylward, John Aylward, Basil Humphrey, Frank Reed, Bill Shoop, John Matlock, and John Bunch. Interment was in the Brock Cemetery, north of Memphis, MO. Payne Funeral Chapel of Memphis, MO was in charge of arrangements.
