ICLE L. WESTHOFF

Icle L. Westhoff, 82, of St. Louis, MO area, formerly of Memphis, MO, passed away March 7, 2003 at the Pacific Care Center in Pacific, MO.
Icle was born May 11, 1920 in Savannah, IA, the daughter of Orville Ronald Billhymer and Viva Honor Small Bullock Rominger.
Icle attended the Center Country Grade School and graduated from Pulaski High School Class of 1938.
On March 18, 1939, she was united in marriage to Paul Ivan Westhoff of Pulaski, IA in Kahoka, MO by Father Donovan. Ivan was a well-known farmer and livestock buyer in northeast Missouri. He passed away December 24, 1966.
She was a homemaker and wife, enjoyed crafts, sewing, reading and her family. She was a wonderful grandmother and loved by all. Her hobby was raising and showing championship Florida White Rabbits. She was nationally known for her grand championship rabbits. She was an officer and member of the Florida Rabbit Breeder Association. She worked at the Memphis Grade and High School as a head cook for 23 years in the school system until moving to Florida. She was known to everyone as "Grand-ma".
She was preceded in death by her parents and husband; two brothers, Lewis and Jack Billhymer; a granddaughter, Terri Small Davis; one grandson, Christopher Thompson.
Surviving are her two daughters, Helen Louise Shoemaker of Memphis, MO and Michaelene Hart of St. Louis, MO; two sons, Russell Carl Westhoff and his wife, Jean of Pensacola, FL, and Ronald Francis Westhoff and his wife, Judy of Pensacola, FL; three sisters, Leta Beatrice Hesse of Bloomfield, IA, Anna John and her husband, Lowell of Burlington, IA, and Karen Kline and her husband, Cullie of Pulaski, IA; seven grandchildren, Tony Small of Rutledge, MO, Rusty Westhoff of Tampa, FL, Natalie Westhoff, Melissa Knight, Michael Booth, all of Pensacola, FL, Kimberly Hoehne of Gray Summit, MO, Kelly Fitzgerald of St. Louis, MO; eight great-grandchildren; Toni Ten-neille Small and Brook Small, both of Memphis, MO, Jonathan Booth and Austin Westhoff, Tiffany and Eddie Knight, all of Pensacola, FL, Jacob and Bailey Hoehne of Gray Summit, MO; several nieces and nephews and cousins.
The family has suggested memorials to American Diabetes and maybe left at or mailed to the Payne Funeral Chapel, 202 East Madison, Memphis, MO 63555.
Funeral services were held March 11, 2002, at the Payne Funeral Chapel, Memphis, MO, with Rev. Leon Buford officiating. Music was by Angela Westhoff, vocalist, and Joan Hinds, organist. Pallbearers were Jim Westhoff, Billy Westhoff, Deano Sargent, Cullie Kline, Danny Harris and Bill Hesse. Honorary bearers were Dwight DeRosear, Jack Goosey, Ted Gundy, and Tom Owings. Interment was in the IOOF Cemetery, Bloomfield, IA.
