Iowa Man Gets Five Years In DOC After Probation Revoked
A probation revocation hearing in the First Judicial Circuit in Scotland County has sent a Winfield, IA man to the Missouri Department of Corrections for a term of five years.
Darrell J. Brockman, 43, was sentenced to five years in the DOC. The sentence was originally handed down in 1999 after Brockman was arrested on a Class C felony charge of possession of a controlled substance on July 10, 1998. He was placed on probation at the time.
A probation violation was initially filed January 10, 2003 and a warrant was issued for Brockman's arrest. Following a lengthy process a motion for probation revocation was filed by prosecuting attorney Kimberly Nicoli.
Judge Gary Dial ordered the previously imposed sentence be executed following the probation revocation hearing April 14.
Brockman was transported to the DOC by the Scotland County Sheriff's Department.
