Lady Tigers Fifth At A Club Relays

The weather was more fit for ice fishing than a track meet but the Scotland County Lady Tigers braved the below freezing temperatures April 2 to compete in the A Club Relays in Bloomfield, IA. SCR-I finished fifth in the six-team event.

It was simply cold miserable conditions," said Coach Josh Smith. "We still showed promise despite the weather. We need to work on our handoffs for relays but it's still early in the season."

That was seven inches further than the third place throw by teammate Amy Morgan. The duo flip-flopped in the standings in the discus where Morgan was third with a throw of 82 feet 1.5 inches while Norton finished fifth at 76 feet nine inches.
