HARRY T. ROBESON

Harry T. Robeson, 63, of rural Memphis, MO, passed away December 15, 2002, at the Scotland County Memorial Hospital in Memphis, MO.
He was born April 29, 1939, in Deer Ridge, MO, the son of Harold D. and Mabel Alice (Primm) Robeson.
He was a lifelong farmer with his father-in-law and brother-in-law of Memphis, MO.
Harry was a devoted family man who loved the land and livestock. He was an accomplished horseman and respected horse judge nationwide. His web of friends stretches far and wide.
Harry is survived by his wife, Mary Margaret Robeson of 45 years; one son, Lou Robeson and his wife, Mary Beth of Kansas City, MO; one daughter, Laurie Ward and husband, Jim, two grandchildren, Cody and Cheyenne Ward, all of Memphis, MO; four sisters, Virginia and F.A. Cary of Moberly, MO, Louise and Richard Wells of Quincy, IL, Elsie and Bud Wybrant of Kirksville, MO, Georgia and Bill Shields of Bloomington, IN; three brothers, Carl and Frances Robeson of Hampton, MN, Edward and Ellen Robeson of Queen City, MO, and Don and Mary Robeson of Quincy, IL; mother-in-law, Aletha Henderson, brother-in-law, Freddie and Carla Henderson, sister-in-law, Crystal and Roger Riebel, all of Memphis, MO; numerous nieces and nephews and several "rent-a-kids", including special "rent-a-kids" Tracy and Greg Miller of Durant, IA and sons, Justin and Clayton, also Becky and Sara Norton of Memphis, MO.
Harry was preceded in death by his parents; father-in-law, Lonel Henderson; one brother-in-law, Vern Woods.
The family has suggested memorials to Brock Cemetery or The American Cancer Society.
Funeral Services will be held Wednesday, December 18, 2002, at 2:00 p.m. at the Payne Funeral Chapel in Memphis, MO, with Chaplain Dennis Smith officiating. Pallbearers are Neil Cary, Mark Robeson, Alan Henderson, Fred Moore, Vernon Woods, and Jeff Henderson. Honorary bearers were Steve Morris, Rusty Anders, Sam Berkowitz, Larry Miller, Eric Anders, Steve Farnsworth and Honorable E. Richard Webber. Military graveside rites will be by the Wallace W. Gillespie Post #4958, Memphis, MO. Interment will be in the Brock Cemetery, north of Memphis, MO.
