Dean Arnold, formerly of Loveland, CO, died in Henderson, NV, after walking away from an assisted care facility on September 16, 2002. He was the subject of a full-scale search for two weeks before being found dead near the facility October 1, 2002.
Dean Arnold was born September 9, 1935, in Arbela, MO.
He and his wife moved to Loveland, CO in 1973. They moved to Henderson, NV in August 2000.
He was employed by Banker's Life and Casualty of Chicago, IL until he was diagnosed with Parkinson's disease in 1990.
He was a member of the First Baptist Church of Loveland, CO.
He is survived by his wife, Betty Lou Arnold of Henderson, NV; sons, Mike Arnold and wife, Sylvia of Silverthorne, CO, and Bob Arnold and wife, Michelle of Bartlett, IL; daughters, Joyce Gosline and husband, Pat of Spring Hill, FL, and Nancy Lorenzen and husband, Rodney of Henderson, CO; eight grandchildren; one great-grandchild; his mother, Matalee Arnold of Memphis, MO; sister, Janet and husband, John Schriver of Ft. Madison, IA; brothers, Dale Arnold of North Dakota, Gary Arnold and wife, Pat of Arbela, MO, and Larry Arnold and wife, Terry of Memphis, MO.
He was preceded in death by his father, G.W. Arnold and sister, Eleanor.
Memorial services were held October 5, 2002, at the Warm Springs Baptist Church in Las Vegas, NV.
