Heather Lea Fogle, 19, died January 11, 2002, as the result of an automobile accident south of Memphis, MO.
Heather, the daughter of Faron and Debbie (Camp) Fogle, was born January 28, 1982, at the Scotland County Memorial Hospital in Memphis, MO.
Survivors include her parents, Faron and Debbie Fogle of Memphis, MO; a brother, Jake of the home; grandparents, Don and Dora Fogle and Bill Camp, all of Memphis, MO; an aunt, Kim (Camp) Matich and her husband, Scott of Ladonia, MO; an aunt and uncle, Jeanette and Kevin Fogle of Memphis, MO; cousins, Aaron and Jessica Camp of Ladonia, MO and Samantha and Kiel Fogle of Memphis, MO; and four special friends, Mindy, Andrea, Lydia, and Matt. Also surviving are many great-aunts, great-uncles, cousins, and a host of friends.
Heather was preceded in death by an infant brother, Aaron; grandmother, Wanda Camp; and six great-grandparents.
Heather attended Scotland County Schools and was a graduate of Scotland County R-1 with the class of 2000. While in high school she was active in a multitude of activities. An avid basketball and softball player, she participated in these sports all four years of high school. She was also active in a summer slow-pitch softball league. Other activities included FBLA, Chorus, Court Warming Queen and Yearbook Queen. Heather's hobbies were sports and she enjoyed spending time with her friends and family. She was enrolled in Indian Hills Community College as a psychology major and was employed in the Scotland County Prosecuting Attorney's office.
Funeral services were held January 14, 2002, at the United Methodist Church in Memphis, MO with Brother David Barton officiating. The organist was Connie Courtney and the soloist was Lindsay Becraft. Body bearers were Paul Campbell, Randy Norton, Greg Shelley, Jim Fuller, Jon Fuller, and Mikel Becraft. Interment was in the Memphis Cemetery. An expression of sympathy may be made to the family. Payne Funeral Chapel of Memphis, MO was in charge of arrangements.
