Frederick Gets Three Five-Year Prison Terms
A Memphis man was sentenced to three five-year terms in the Missouri Department of Corrections after entering a guilty plea on three felony charges of sexual misconduct.
Judge Robert M. Clayton handed down the sentence during a June 19 hearing in Ralls County were the case had been moved on a change of venue from Scotland County.
Danny J. (D.J.) Frederick, Jr., 20, of Memphis, pled guilty to charges of class C felony sexual assault, class C felony abuse of a child, and class C felony promoting a sexual performance by a child. He was sentenced to five years in the MDC on each charge with the terms to run concurrently. However the terms were ordered to run consecutively with two five-year prison terms received by the defendant in the Circuit Court of Clark County on February 6, 2001. He was sentenced to two five-year terms to run consecutively in the Clark County case, meaning he currently is scheduled to serve those two terms (10 years total) back to back before starting the five-year term from this case.
The court ordered that Frederick be screened, and if eligible, be enrolled in the long-term treatment program.
The defendant was remanded into the custody of the Scotland County Sheriff's Department to be held in the Scotland County Jail until after July 3 in order to appear at his probation revocation hearing.
