Antique Show To Raise Money For Relay For Life

This is just a tiny sample of what visitors will be treated to May 25 at the Dave McRobert's residence as part of an antique showroom tour to raise money for Relay for Life.

While it is still more than a month away, the Scotland County Relay For Life is generating a wide variety of fundraisers. The latest event will be an open house antique show at the David McRobert residence south of Memphis.

Guests will take a tour through four large buildings filled with antiques displayed in a museum-like setting complete with descriptions and histories.

"So many Relay For Life Teams are doing so much this year to help raise money we just wanted to come up with something a little different to see if we could do our part in the fundraiser," McRobert said.

The antique show will run from noon until 7:00 p.m. May 25 at the McRobert's home, located six miles south of Memphis on Highway 15, past the roadside park. Guests should take the gravel road west from the Bill McRobert residence, traveling approximately one mile to the house on the left.

"You can't miss the house," McRobert said. "Just look for the church steeple in the front yard next to the road and you have found us."

Proceeds from the $3 tickets will go to the Scotland County Extension Relay For Life Team.
