A Memphis woman cashed in while playing at home in the Missouri Lottery's "Fun & Fortune" television game show that aired this past weekend.
Linda Wheeler won the top prize of $1,000 as one of nine home partners that cashed in on $2,432 worth of prizes given away to television viewers of the program.
Carolyn Jackson, a 49-year-old custodian from St. Louis was the lucky guest on screen who took home $61,000 and will return again next week as the show's reigning champion. Five other contestants on the game show won prizes totaling more than $10,000.
Six contestants and nine home partners are selected each week to participate in the "Fun & Fortune" game show.
To qualify to be on the show the individuals must play the Lottery's Scratcher game by the same name. If the lottery card produces matching numbers it is a winner. If the prize shown is a television set the card owner is entered in the game show. If the prize shown on the card is an "Entry" prize, the card owner can send it in for a chance to be drawn from other eligible entries to be a home partner.
Contestants in the on stage program could win more than $250,000 in the weekly program.
