Twenty One Teams Play In Two-Couple Golf Scramble
A full day of golf just beat the rain as the 21 teams completed the annual two-couple golf scramble at Timber Ridge Golf Course minutes before the precipitation started.
The team of Childress and Goodson took home top honors on the afternoon, winning the championship flight with a round of 61. The team of Shirey and Golden won a playoff with the team of Richardson and Wilson to take second place. Both teams turned in scorecards with 62s.
The A-Flight went to Bolich and White with a score of 67. Two teams tied with 68s. The team and Riebel and Fromm won the playoff over Shalley and See.
Top honors in the B-Flight went to the team of Newman and Robertson with a score of 72. A three-way tie for second place meant the prize money was split three ways. The groups of Potter and Farrell; Shumate and Morgret; and Smith and Klocke all finished with rounds of 73.
The 50/50 prizewinners on hole number three were Scott Childress and Becky Childress.
