Downing Pedestrian Seriously Injured When Struck By Car
A Downing man sustained serious injuries when he was struck by a vehicle on Bard Street in Downing at 7:15 p.m. October 12th.
According to the Missouri State Highway Patrol, Mona King was northbound on Bard Street in a 1987 Buick when the car struck a southbound pedestrian, Michael Boyd, 50, of Downing. Boyd was taken by Schuyler County Ambulance to Scotland County Memorial Hospital with serious injuries.
The Highway Patrol was assisted at the scene by the Schuyler County Sheriff's Department and the ambulance service. No tickets were issued at the time of the accident. King was uninjured. The car sustained moderate damage.
