Granger Couple Facing Numerous Drug Charges
A pair of Granger residents are in custody on drug charges following the execution of a search warrant at their residence September 27.
The Scotland County Sheriff's Department arrested Robin D. Spurgeon, 37, and Carolyn S. Spurgeon, 37, on numerous felony drug charges.
Officers executed the search warrant at the residence in Granger and discovered a large quantity of marijuana.
The arrests came after a lengthy investigation instigated by the sheriff's department. They were assisted at the arrest scene by the Missouri State Highway Patrol and officers from the Memphis Police Department.
Carolyn and Robin Spurgeon each face felony charges of manufacturing/production of a controlled substance; possession of a controlled substance with intent to deliver/distribute or sell; possession of a controlled substance; and endangering the welfare of a child. Robin Spurgeon also faces charges of armed criminal action.
Both individuals were being held on $25,000 cash bond. Carolyn was held in the custody of the Scotland County Sheriff's Department prior to meeting the bond requirements. Robin Spurgeon remains in custody in the Scotland County Jail on $25,000 bond. Both have been assigned a November 13 court date.
